Dr. Joung

Description

Dr. Joung combined his love of working with his hands and a fascination with science and biology when he became a dentist. He is board-certified in both prosthodontics and periodontics, which helps create the 360° dental perspective we strive for at Ridgewood Dental Associates. He received both his BA and DMD from the University of Pennsylvania, and then earned his board certifications at the University of Connecticut, where he was also awarded recognition for excellence by the American College of Prosthodontists.

So, growing up, I always loved working with my hands and I enjoyed science and biology, and I wanted to consider health care, and I had two uncles in my family that were dentists as well. And so those things led me to pursue a career in dentistry. The best part of dentistry is truly helping patients. When we get to see their results and their smile at the end, there's nothing better than that. Patients come in with a lot of fear and anxiety when they come to a dental office. And so our goal is to make them feel comfortable and know that they can trust us with what we do.
