Missing teeth have a negative effect on the appearance of your smile and your ability to bite, chew, and speak.
Dental implants fill the gaps left by missing teeth and provide a secure foundation for natural-looking crowns, bridges, or dentures.
The expert dentists at Ridgewood Dental Associates can restore your smile with dental implants at our Ridgewood, NJ, practice.
What Are Dental Implants?
Dental implants are prosthetic tooth roots. They are usually made of biocompatible titanium. Our dentists can surgically insert implants through your gums and into your jawbone. Over time, dental implants fuse with your bone and become part of your anatomy. They are then able to support dental restorations like crowns, bridges, or dentures.
5-Star Reviews For Our Friendly Practice
Just relocated from NYC and yesterday I had a very serious dental emergency so I called up RDA to see if they’d be willing to fit me in for an emergency appt even though I wasn’t a patient. They immediately gave me same day appointment and also fixed my issue without any hesitation. On top of this, Dr. Samani gave me an in office CT scan AND an immediate implant consult, which I put off doing since it’s usually time consuming and a lot of appointments with different people - so I was extremely impressed and surprised they did this all without hesitation. Honestly I never had a more seamless in office dental experience and I would recommend this practice to anyone in the north jersey area. All around 360 care. Thanks again for everything!View on Google
After several visits/consultations, I am confident I am in good hands with Dr. Joung and wholeheartedly recommend this practice for dental work. In particular, Aleyda has been extremely patient, knowledgeable, and helpful as I made my decision.. She answered my questions and addressed concerns I had, even if they were questions/concerns she previously answered. And she did so with kindness, patience, and a smile. Same is true with the rest of the staff, including Estella and Amy, who helped me feel at home. Keep up the good work! P..S. I will write a follow-up post once my dental work is complete.View on Google
Rediscover Your Smile With Dental Implants
The Benefits of Dental Implants
Jawbone SupportTooth loss results in the loss of jawbone density over time. By providing a new root structure, dental implants prevent bone loss and restore normal bite function.
Long-Lasting ResultsAccording to the Institute for Dental Implant Awareness, dental implants have a 95% success rate for long-term use. With proper care and oral hygiene, dental implant posts can last 40 years or longer.
Improved Self-ConfidenceJawbone atrophy and tooth loss affect your facial features. The inability to eat certain foods can also impact your self-image. Dental implants restore your confidence and independence, helping you look and feel younger.

“They’ve Changed My Life”
Real 5-Star Google Reviews "I feel confident in the care I'm receiving."
Very polite staff and I'm comfortable going there with the covid protocols in place. They are also great in follow up with the insurance company. Dr. Joung is thorough and I feel confident in the care I'm receiving as he explains things and makes sure to answer all my questions. Really appreciate that there is a separate room where you deal with the financial aspects and next appointments, as opposed to in the general waiting area in front of others like some other offices I've been in.View on Google
Truly could not be any happier with my visit to RDA! Apart from the office being both stunning and kempt, the service RDA provides is unparalleled! Everyone I came in contact with at RDA was extraordinarily friendly, and professional. A huge thanks to Dr. Samani, who restored both my smile, and my confidence! I would highly recommend RDA to anyone, and am beyond elated with my experience!View on Google
Dental Implants Offer Flexible Treatment Options We Can Provide Both Traditional Implants and All-on-4
Traditional implant dentistry involves placing an implant where there used to be a tooth root. The process requires two oral surgeries. The first oral surgery places the implant, with a second surgery later to place the abutment. If you lack sufficient jawbone density, you'll need an additional preliminary grafting surgery.
All-on-4 is designed to support a full denture for people missing most or all of their teeth. With All-on-4, the implants are placed in a single oral surgery, with no need for separate abutment placement. Only four implants are used, strategically placed in order to make the most out of the patient's jawbone structure (bone grafting is usually not required).
Types of Dental Implants
Immediate Load Implants
Immediate load dental implants allow our dentists to place a temporary restoration following implant placement. This provides you with a restored smile in a single appointment. The temporary restoration will be switched out for a permanent crown once the healing process is complete. While immediate load implants are a quick way to fill the gap in your smile, they are reserved for patients with good jawbone density.
Mini Dental Implants
Much slimmer than traditional implants, mini implants require less-invasive surgery and are typically used to stabilize a set of lower dentures. Mini implants are a good option for you if you are missing most or all of your teeth and have low jawbone density. It is important to keep in mind that because of their size, mini implants cannot withstand the same biting forces and chewing pressure as traditional implants.
Dental Implant Restorations
The gap left by a missing tooth can be effectively replaced with a single dental implant and a durable dental crown.
Using two implants placed on either side of the gap in your smile, an implant-supported bridge can restore up to four consecutive missing teeth.
