What Are Dental Implants?
Dental implants are prosthetic tooth roots. They are usually made of biocompatible titanium. Our dentists can surgically insert implants through your gums and into your jawbone. Over time, dental implants fuse with your bone and become part of your anatomy. They are then able to support dental restorations like crowns, bridges, or dentures.
5-Star Reviews For Our Friendly Practice
Ridgewood Dental has been phenomenal while working with me through an extremely complicated dental procedure. During the course of a full upper reconstruction I had a medical issue arise. The team at ridgewood dental worked through it with me and were so compassionate and caring it made me really appreciate their practice. It is one thing to be great at dental work, which they are, but it is much more to show your patients care and concern.
View on GoogleI transitioned to Ridgewood Dental Associates following the unexpected retirement of both my dentist & my periodontist (right in the middle of some major dental work). Dr Joung seamlessly assumed my treatment and completed my dental implants with the utmost care and expertise. RDA has become my one-stop practice for all my dental needs. “They’ve Changed My Life”
Real 5-Star Google Reviews "I feel confident in the care I'm receiving."
Very polite staff and I'm comfortable going there with the covid protocols in place. They are also great in follow up with the insurance company. Dr. Joung is thorough and I feel confident in the care I'm receiving as he explains things and makes sure to answer all my questions. Really appreciate that there is a separate room where you deal with the financial aspects and next appointments, as opposed to in the general waiting area in front of others like some other offices I've been in.
View on GoogleTruly could not be any happier with my visit to RDA! Apart from the office being both stunning and kempt, the service RDA provides is unparalleled! Everyone I came in contact with at RDA was extraordinarily friendly, and professional. A huge thanks to Dr. Samani, who restored both my smile, and my confidence! I would highly recommend RDA to anyone, and am beyond elated with my experience!
View on GoogleDental Implants Offer Flexible Treatment Options We Can Provide Both Traditional Implants and All-on-4
Traditional Dental Implants
Traditional implant dentistry involves placing an implant where there used to be a tooth root. The process requires two oral surgeries. The first oral surgery places the implant, with a second surgery later to place the abutment. If you lack sufficient jawbone density, you'll need an additional preliminary grafting surgery.
All-on-4® Dental Implants
All-on-4 dental implants are designed to support a full denture for people missing most or all of their teeth. With All-on-4, the implants are placed in a single oral surgery, with no need for separate abutment placement. Only four implants are used, strategically placed in order to make the most out of the patient's jawbone structure (bone grafting is usually not required).
Types of Dental Implants
Immediate Load Implants
Immediate load dental implants allow our dentists to place a temporary restoration following implant placement. This provides you with a restored smile in a single appointment. The temporary restoration will be switched out for a permanent crown once the healing process is complete. While immediate load implants are a quick way to fill the gap in your smile, they are reserved for patients with good jawbone density.
Mini Dental Implants
Much slimmer than traditional implants, mini implants require less-invasive surgery and are typically used to stabilize a set of lower dentures. Mini implants are a good option for you if you are missing most or all of your teeth and have low jawbone density. It is important to keep in mind that because of their size, mini implants cannot withstand the same biting forces and chewing pressure as traditional implants.
Dental Implant Restorations
Dental Crowns
The gap left by a missing tooth can be effectively replaced with a single dental implant and a durable dental crown.
Dental Bridges
Using two implants placed on either side of the gap in your smile, an implant-supported bridge can restore up to four consecutive missing teeth.
Dentures
Whether you are missing numerous teeth or a complete dental arch, a partial or full denture can comfortably address your needs.
