In the doldrums of winter, Ridgewood Dental Associates decided to lift the mood of their staff and some lucky person by running a contest to give away a free smile makeover. In order to qualify, each participant had to make a donation to the American Cancer Society and come in for a smile evaluation by Feb. 10. The RDA staff choose the cancer society because one of the staff member's father just had a bout with the disease and everybody knows somebody who had suffered with cancer.
The RDA staff then decided that a facial, hair cut and color, makeup application and manicure would complete the winner's smile makeover. The Fountain Spa of Ramsey caught the enthusiasm of the project and offered the complimentary services to the winner.
The lucky person chosen for the smile makeover of her dreams is Terri Ramos who both lives and works in Oakland. She was told of her good fortune with the delivery of roses to her place of business. In her capacity as banquet manager at Portobello Restaurant, she is constantly in contact with people and believes a great smile is a tremendous asset.
